Dr Soo Min Kim came from South Korea to NZ in 2008, holding the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine 2007. Soo Min gained ad endum graduation from Otago University to enable her to practice and register in NZ and Australia. She also passed NBDE (national dental board exam in the United States) and gained orthodontic training of Traditional braces, Fastbraces and Clear Correct invisible aligner and is now persuing further. She is a member of New Zealand Dental Association, Dental Protection and FDI World Dental Federation.

The voice that greets you on the phone at Albany Dental Surgery is Wendy, our Practice Manager. Wendy joined the practice in 2019. Her daily goal is to provide our patients with a pleasant experience so that they leave the practice happy. Wendy enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen for family and friends. She enjoys walking and weekend trips to famers markets and beaches.

Meet our caring Dental Assistant Young-Ah who came to NZ from South Korea 20 years ago. Prior to joining the team at Albany Dental Surgery Young-Ah worked as a Practice Manager and Dental Assistant at various clinics around Auckland. Young-Ah particularly enjoys working with our younger patients as she has worked in childcare in the past. Her leisure time is devoted to travelling with her family.

I immigrated to New Zealand from South Korea and brought with me many years of experience as a medical nurse. My steady hands and calm demeanor allow me to assist with precision and care. My initial interest in dentistry has blossomed into a deep passion and a desire to continually learn and grow in the field. Since 2023, I’ve been proud to be part of the Albany Dental Surgery team. On weekends, I’m a busy and happy mum, cherishing time with my family and our four beautiful daughters.

I am a mother of three children who enjoy taking walks and watching movies. I am currently happily working as an administrator of Albany Dental Surgery and living a beautiful life in New Zealand. Also, I am a student who is currently doing an internship related to architecture in Korea.
